Los moriscos de la Marina Alta
400 años de la expulsión
A lecture entitled “Los Moriscos de la Marina Alta, desde la conversión hasta la expulsión” (The Moors of the Marina Alta, from the coversion to the expulsion) will be given by Pasqual Costa Cholbi, professor of History at the University of Valencia.
Presenting the event will be Jaume Ivars Mut, Mayor and Ángela Perelló, Culture Councillor of Els Poblets Town Hall.
The exhibition will be open until 24th Januaary.
HOURS: Monday to Friday: From 17.00 hours to 20.00 hours.
Saturdays: From 10.00 hours to 13.00 hours.
NOTE: During the exhibition there will be a documental film called “Moriscos, los valencianos olvidados” (Moors, the foregotten Valencianos) by Sergi Tarín, Vicent Peris y Esther Albert. This is a producción by INFO Tv.

Procession to the Piedra del Salvador and blessing of domestic animals in front of the image of their partron: San Antonio.
After the Mass, meal of sobaquillo in the recreation area of Pda. Gironets. The Town Hall will supply tables and chairs for the participants.
