PRESENTATION LETTER

It gives me pride to introduce the Partido Popular’s program for our village of Els Poblets, a program that is not just a document to be completed from start to finish, but a vision of growth, trust and commitment. To make it a reality I need that, as a resident of this our town, you again put your trust in me.

It is a government program which is designed to enhance the reality of our neighbourhood, streets and municipal assets, and every one of these measures I present are born from my commitment to improving the quality of life for all of us.

When I put my campaign team to work to develop the program, we were very clear on our objectives which were to work to ensure a serious austere cohesive government which has clear plans about which we will speak directly both to the provincial government and the regional government.

TOGETHER we are going to construct an improved village, even more respected, with a sound future, credible and admired both inside and outside our region. It is a realistic future challenge, of quality and welfare and this demands from us the Partido Popular, a commitment to go to Election Day with the best ideas, proposals, objectives and renewed enthusiasm.

Compared with the lamentations and pessimism, I intend to focus my energy in working with you closely, day by day with optimism, seeking the best for our village and responding to the actual problems of each and every one of us:

Two words that define our program are AUSTERITY and IMPROVEMENT: our streets, districts, communications, wellbeing, sustainability, the quality of life, the installation of services.

I offer you a pluralistic village, committed, diverse, supportive, more modern and open, more advanced and the owner of its future.

The men and women of the Partido Popular want to thank you for your trust, your vision and your commitment to us. Now more than ever we suggest you give us your support, because together is our future.

OUR COMMITMENTS

The main character of the social and economic policy must be the person, the industrious worker, consumer, saver, investor and entrepreneur. We must return to the idea of creating employment as the best social policy.

WE PROPOSE:

* To provide work for the unemployed of the village through means of the works and infrastructures that are put out to tender with the premise of recruiting unemployed people in the village.

* We want to improve the quality and efficiency of public services. To do this we will simplify administrative procedures, we will generalize the use of telemetric tools; improve information services and channels of participation.

* Ensure that all entrepreneurs are able to start their business activity in less than twenty days provided that such activity does not require specialist equipment or a special license, e.g. safety or health.

* Reduce red tape which affects the initiative of entrepreneurs, abolishing all possible administrative licenses.

* Creating a local board of commerce in which companies of the sector may set out their requests to the town hall and participate in municipal decisions targeted at reviving the sector. It would be an advisory and social body.

* Exemption from 50% of taxes on 1st year of opening for small businesses.

* Creation of an information network to advertise the trading offers of all local business.

* Web Page of the Town Hall in Castellano, Valenciano, English and German.

* The terraces of the bars to be subject to taxes only in the summer months.

* We pledge a rigorous and responsible use of public funds, as we have demonstrated throughout this legislative term ending with zero debt to banks, liquidity remaining positive.

* Achieving sustainable development is our commitment, we will continue to protect our environment by encouraging conditions for the creation of employment, and we will continue improving the infrastructure, encourage investment and maintain the taxes.

* We pledge to preserve the heritage of the village so that it will be a lure for tourists who visit us

* We demand the regeneration of Almadrava beach and the Coastal Law has reasonable changes that defend the rights of owners in the case of the publicly owned seafront and to preserve the equilibrium of our coast.

* We will promote the rehabilitation of municipal buildings with renewable energy sources to reduce the power consumption for heating, cooling and lighting.

* In order to do this, we will create municipal regulations which also will encourage the construction of homes through partial tax exemption (a reduction quantified in the town hall tax charged to all constructions which are carried out in the municipality).

* Social Centre, to clarify the bar of the Casa de Cultura, will be made available to the Third Age Group, providing all the material they need. We will continue to support them as well as other associations, in all their initiatives.

* We will develop cultural activities (concerts, exhibitions, theatre and parties) to allow for the cultural enjoyment of residents and visitors.Listen

* We will continue to financially support the School and AMPA, as well as the care, maintenance and repair of same.

* Support a Municipal Nursery School in Ausias March when a new one is built.

* Provide an events centre on the premises of the old school in Mirarrosa.

* Install a Translator in the Medical Center.

* Encourage the usage of bikes, with information campaigns and public awareness.

* Bicycle and Green Route from the historical centre passing by the new school to Almadrava Beach.

* Bicycle parking areas: P/Castell, Town Hall, P/del Salvador, Miraflor Park , Sports Centre, C/San Jose and municipal pool.

* Promote sustainable mobility and pedestrian walking areas where the paths and roads are dug up during the installation of the underground pipe network needed to take the overhead wiring which is currently hanging from the facades.

* Replace the asphalt by paving and traditional elements, thus returning the streets of the historical centre to be in keeping with its history and its environment.

* Install new street signs.

* New points of underground containers for refuse collection.

* Redevelopment of Plaza del Salvador, Vicari Ciscar and C/Moli.

* Pedestrianisation of the C/Mar next to the church.

* Develop C/1 Pda Buscarrons parallel to San Josep.

* C/Mirarrosa - make it passable for pedestrians.

* Repair the road from Mirarrosa to Vergel.

* Finish the urbanisation and open C/ Lugnano In Teverina.

* Construction of the new school surroundings.

* Develop the back of Plaza del Castell and C / Cervantes, C/27 and Jardin between road Marjaletes and C/26.

* Rear development to Miraflor between C/Trinquet and C/Mirarrosa.

* Sports Centre paddle court

* Valenciana Pilota Street

* Enlarge the cemetery of Miraflor.

* Continue with the policy of implementation of the sanitation network in those streets that do not yet have sewers:

- Pda Sorts de la Mar: C / 2,3,4,6,7,8,11,23,25.

- Pda Gironets : C/ 8,4,6.

- Pda Barranquets : C/ 12,13,14,17a,b,c,d,19,22,24,25.

- Pda Playa Almadrava : C/ 2,3,4,5,6,10,12,16,18,19,20,21,22,23.
