Open Letter from the Mayor

Dear friends and neighbours : Nobody can remove the pride of having been the Mayor of Els Poblets during the past 12 years. It has been a very positive and rewarding experience for me for having helped to improve our beloved town, the transformation of Els Poblets is a fact, that no one can deny.

The people spoke at the ballot box last May 24, a candidate and a party won the elections " PP", a popular will that has not been respected but broken with a " legal " alliance of three parties ( Compromis , PSOE and Piree ) . On a personal level I feel completely "full", loaded with the affection shown to me during these years. I do not believe in Governments that are not those who win in the ballot box, the only thing that unites them is ending with the PP, but as I said before they are " legitimate ".

I hope and pray that our beloved people continue in the path of prosperity. In this new stage and in opposition we will continue to work for our town which has always been our commitment . I want to thank all the people who for years have supported me and have supported my candidacy " Thank You " . To all the municipal staff I also extend my most sincere gratitude for having made from first to the last my work more easy , but above all by your professional and human quality. There have been many works and infrastructure carried out. I am not going to list them, they can be seen and most importantly we enjoyed them. Now we leave approved the Provincial Plan of Works 2015 to construct sewers in C/19, 21.21A, 22; of the Playa Almadrava by an amount of € 354000, we also resolved the grant from the Deputacion in works and repairs of municipal cooperation financially sustainable for this year , sewerage collection in C/5,C/ 5A Ptda Buscarrons and C/ 7of Sorts del la Mar by an amount of €89999.98 and already up and running the work of reform and expansion of multipurpose room in the old schools of Mirarrosa by an amount of 90000 €.

In the economic sphere we leave the town hall in a healthy situation without debts with money in the bank of more than one million six hundred Euros. This fact can be checked to the date of June 12 in the details that I requested the Municipal Controller provide so that you and the new government knows what exists.

Thank you very much. I apologize for errors that I could have committed and not being able to satisfy all , it is very difficult , but always that which I have done has been thinking of the general good for Els Poblets.
